Description
The giant sequoia is an evergreen tree with one of the best root systems among trees which gives it excellent resistance to strong winds. The SEQUOIADENDRON giganteum grows for the first 15 to 20 years in a regular and conical shape and then becomes a large column. Despite the great height that giant sequoia can reach, they occupy only a relatively small area of the ground. They resist as well in more humid grounds as in dry ground. It is probably a tree that will be able to withstand climate change more easily.
