This Japanese apricot tree blooms in late February early March. PRUNUS mume ‘Beni-Chidori’ flowers abundantly (see photos) for several weeks. Its flowers have a very intense and particular pink color without being intrusive. In addition, this small tree diffuses a very pleasant scent over a fairly large distance. As it grows only slowly, it is also suitable for small gardens. This is a plant highly sought after by collectors.
