This paperbark maple is connaisseur plant. It has a beautiful copper coloured bark all year round. In autumn the leaves of ACER griseum take wonderful green, yellow and orange colours. This deciduous tree has a beautiful shape even in winter without leaves.
One of the best trees for its bark is probably the paperbark maple. ACER griseum has not only an astonishing bark with its different shade of copper, but also a beautiful foliage in autumn with a mix of green, orange and red tones (see photos). Even if this tree grows relatively large over time, it grows so slowly that one can even consider planting it in medium-sized gardens.
