In fact, conifers are plants that any good garden needs in order to create a structure and to bring color and volume in winter. A conifer is the right choice if you are looking for a pot plant, a bonsai or a niwaki (cloud pruning).

Did you know that the conifer group represents most of millinery specimen still alive? One of the best examples are SEQUOIADENDRON in the Yosemite Park in the USA or a TAXUS baccata of about 1.500 years here in Normandy (La Haie de Routot). The oldest living organism on this planet is a conifer, PINUS longaeva, with the wonderful age of 4.500 years. The adult height of a conifer can range from some tens of centimeters (dwarf forms or slow growing forms) to more than a hundred meters.
